David Wright doesn't want excuses about injuries crippling the Mets. Nor does the third baseman worry about the standings anymore.
"I'm so tired of talking about hurt guys," Wright said after the Mets opened their second half with a 5-3 loss to the Braves at Turner Field. "I'm just worried about what's going on here. It's to a point where if we get them back, great. If not, we have to find a way. It's just too much talk about the hurt guys."
Which Met will be first off the DL is anyone's guess. By then, it doesn't look like it will matter anyway. Continue
Why do reporters keep asking David Wright about injuries to other players? Is he also an assistant to the medical staff? Just stop hassling the players who aren't hurt with stupid questions about who is hurt. There's only l thing he can say which is that he hopes they get back but they have to do the best with what they have every game. There's nothing interesting to be learned from these questions.
