The reformulating of the Mets' bullpen didn't stop with the acquisitions of Francisco Rodriguez and J.J. Putz. The club Friday dealt another symbol of last season's September collapse, shipping Scott Schoeneweis to the Diamondbacks for righthanded reliever Connor Robertson.
The lefty Schoeneweis was a favorite target for the fans' venom, right to his final pitch as a Met. In the last game of the season, Schoeneweis surrendered a tie-breaking eighth-inning home run to the Marlins' Wes Helms that sent the Mets to a 4-2 loss that kept them out of the playoffs. Continue
